God does not intend for us to come to faith in Christ and leave it at that. He calls us to live a life that reflects the fact that He's given us the power to live godly lives. In this passage (2 Peter 1:5-7) we are reminded that the faithful Christian life is not just about trusting in Christ for our forgiveness and right standing with God.
