We live in a world enslaved by a sexual revolution. The basic building block God instituted for the family and ultimately society – the marriage covenant – has been attacked, distorted, and redefined. It’s no wonder the sin of adultery is used as a picture throughout Scripture to depict Israel forsaking its covenant relationship with God and turning to idolatry. The Church today struggles with similar spiritual adultery, but the Bridegroom will come to restore the Church, His bride, to relationship with Him.
